Freedom

John 8:32-36 And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.33They answered Him, We are Abraham's offspring (descendants) and have never been in bondage to anybody. What do You mean by saying, You will be set free?34Jesus answered them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Whoever commits and practices sin is the slave of sin.35Now a slave does not remain in a household permanently (forever); the son [of the house] does remain forever.36So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.
What does it mean to be free from sin?
To be free from sin is to be free from the bondage or yoke of it's burden. If you have any addictions, wrong thinking, unforgiveness, lust, selfishness, or things of this nature, you have the option to get out!!! Once you have been born again you receive God's Spirit. The Spirit of God is what gives us the power to overcome all obstacles of sin and remain victorious!!! It also releases us from the consequence of sin which is death.
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.[c] And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

Once we are in Christ, God does not see our human bodies but He recognizes His own Spirit within us. Some people are afraid to say that we have the power of God within us. They think that we are calling ourselves gods. This isn't what we are saying. We are actually saying we recognize our own weaknesses and take on all that God gives us to get through our time on earth. We couldn't do it if God didn't help us. When Jesus left to be with His Father he said, I will send a helper, a comforter which is the Holy Spirit. He said we would do greater (more) works that He because He goes to His Father. In human form Jesus couldn't be everywhere at one time , with us having the Holy spirit on us, we are able to do His works and more because there are more of us with God's Spirit! He said in the Gospels we would go out, lay hands on the sick, trample on serpents and cast out demons! He gave us the same authority God gave Him!!!

Luke 10:19 (Amplified Bible)
19Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.
This right here says so!!! And if God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow we are no different than the folks in the Bible, Hallelujah!!!!

Hebrews 13: 7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us!!!!

We are not doing anything on our own it's all through Christ's power within us!!!!
